SADEGH TIRAFKAN
Iran/Canada
Born in Iraq in 1965 to Iranian parents. In 1970 his family moved back to Iran. He lives and works between Tehran and Toronto, Canada.
Sadegh Tirafkan graduated in 1990 with a degree in art from The University of Tehran and since that time his work has been exhibited internationally, including solo shows at: Silk Road Gallery, Tehran, Iran, 2007; Massoud Nader Gallery, New York, USA, 2006; Esace Photography Contreype, Brussels, Belgium, 2005; VU Photography Centre Quebec City, Canada, 2005. Group exhibitions include: Art After Revolution, San Sebastian, Spain, 2005; The Fifth International Month of Photography in Moscow, Russia, 2004 and Iranian Contemporary Art Exhibition, Zagreb Museum, Zagreb, Croatia, 2002.
His book ‘Iranian Man’, was published by La Lettre volée in Brussels, Belgium in 2006.
